Civil war in the United States always conjures up images of multiple battles that decimated the troops on both sides, and was basically fought over whether to retain slavery or not. The idea that civil war could actually happen again today is not only abhorrent, it is unimaginable in a country that considers itself civilized. However, it is all-to-real in the era of Donald Trump. The fact that civil war is even being discussed publicly, should be warning enough of the imminent danger created by the former president.
Trump was asked by Tucker Carlson, in their “X” interview this last week, if he thought there would be civil war in the U.S. Trump replied “There was love in that crowd, there was love and unity. I have never seen such spirit and such passion and such love, and I’ve also never seen simultaneously, and from the same people, such hatred of what they’ve done to our country.”
Asked if there will be open conflict, Trump said he didn’t know, but he added, “There’s a level of passion that I’ve never seen, there’s a level of hatred that I’ve never seen, and that’s probably a bad combination.”
Those statements, on top of his regular deranged rantings about the stolen election, should send a chilling message to the country. In essence he said, if there is any chance that the opposition can rig the 2024 election in favour of Joe Biden, then there will be civil war; a blatant threat.
I predicted, in a blog last week, that if Biden wins there will be civil war and, if Trump wins, there will be dictatorship. I saw nothing in the reports this week to change my mind.
As a slight aside, it was refreshing to look at the reporting after the first Republican debate, and see that almost nothing of substance was reported about the Trump/Carlson interview, whereas the entertaining stage debate was all over the front pages. It gave me hope that Trump’s star may be fading a little, and Nikki Haley’s rising, but that doesn’t change the overall civil war scenario. Trump is quite capable of ordering a civil war if he isn’t chosen as the Republican candidate. Remember, it’s all about him and his ego….nothing else.
Given that predictable state of affairs, perhaps we should anticipate reality, and get the coming civil war over with before the 2024 election.
If Trump starts a civil war, and it is crushed, which it will be, he will be irrefutably charged with sedition, and hopefully hanged. If not hanged, then eliminated from the possibility of ever holding public office again. Case closed.
The indictment just handed down by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, may be the trigger for instigating that civil war. Inadvertently, in her case, but a trigger just the same.
The bond agreement that accompanied the indictment says Mr Trump can remain free pending trial so long as he does not attempt to threaten or intimidate witnesses. The terms of the agreement state that:
1. The defendant shall perform no act to intimidate any person known to him or her to be a co-defendant or witness in this case or to otherwise obstruct the administration of justice.
2. The above shall include, but are not limited to, posts on social media or reposts of
posts made by another individual on social media.
The chances of Donald Trump abiding by that agreement, given his history, are nil. Indeed, later on Monday, Mr Trump posted to his social media platform, “Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis. She campaigned, and is continuing to campaign, and raise money on, this WITCH HUNT. This is in strict coordination with crooked Joe Biden and the Department of Justice.”
That statement alone violates the terms of the bail agreement. He should be arrested and thrown in jail immediately.
I submit that he will then call his troops to get him out………the start of civil war. Let’s anticipate, prepare, and get the inevitable over-with as soon as possible, thus limiting the damage this deranged, egotistical, lunatic can inflict on America.
